The BWCat and the Cocker Spaniel are /the/ faces of Webkinz!#They're on the tags! On the site! Show up in a lot of promotional material/in-game items/advertisements/etc! They had to be the first two!#And also it's just good practice for implementing a multi-pet system generally#It's all well and good if Diamond works Perfectly but if as soon as you add in a second element everything goes wrong what's the point#So he's here early in development ♪ Very important that they grow together! And also they're best friends you wouldn't separate them right#It's actually pretty fun to start to think about what I'd name the other OG8! Since I've only ever had Diamond she's so solidified to me#I'm biased towards the BWCat but the Cocker Spaniel is quite cute too! When I can actually draw him correctly lol#I haven't talked much about the pet adoption aspect yet - Diamond and Rocky are just the names I use but! The point is to pick your own!#I mean I still don't have names decided for the rest of them - Rocky just Happened and I've settled happily into it haha#I'd love to have a custom pronouns system too - I've seen it! I think it's really cool!!#One step at a time...#Still using the GShop label lol it's the WShop I promise the concept art went through a phase it's back to normal now lol#Another aspect of pet raising that I think is underutilized in Webkinz Classic is pet interaction!#You can Imagine whatever you want and pose them and stuff but pet conversation?? Come on!!#You can have your pets in the same room but they can't talk to each other?? No! Ghostkinz can talk to each other They Have To#Surprisingly the second pet wouldn't be on the Kero/secondary character ''layer'' hehe#And then a few other little interaction/flags for if multiple pets have been adopted :3c#What do your 'Kinz get up to when you're not around? They keep themselves and each other entertained haha#Having them ''running loose'' in your computer vs. their own rooms does make for a different environment haha#Send 'em home and to bed when you're done playing so they can't get up to so much trouble! No they still will lol

Steve being obsessed with comic books as a kid (and still as an adult. He’s just more chill about it) but Tommy not being obsessed is sending me.
Imagine your best friend - who you have always felt normal about - loving something that you think is just so unflinchingly lame. But you’re like, okay. Fine. I’ll listen to your Ant-Man rant again. It’s okay.
Then you find out that kids get bullied and beaten up for liking comic books. You tell your best friend this and he says that won’t happen because he’ll fight them off like Batman. Or a ninja.
So, now you’re starting fights with your big brothers so you can practice fighting because your best friend - who are you are completely normal about - is definitely going to get his ass kicked by bullies one day and you’ll have to stop it.

I learned that Fire Alpaca has an animation option, so I could actually see it moving while editing instead of just guessing in Medibang. So have had it adjusted to make it less snappy as originally intended.
#I didn't private/delete the older version in case one prefers it. Though I really don't like how I made Connie's bangs move on that one 😅.#Can definitely make this as snappy as that one. Reupload that with it as a fixed version. But maybe some other time.#Steven Universe#Can't add audio on Fire Alpaca and the exported animated gif is crunchy though#so you'd probably want to use a different software to combine the frames.#Or you can just do all the process in Krita. It can add audio and the exported quality is actually good. I like Krita. Frustratingly my#laptop could bot handle the app so I would have to make these extra steps.
